I'm a regular internet user. In fact, I'm on the internet daily, for about two hours a day. Sometimes longer if my train is delayed!
I visit Facebook a lot. I don't contribute very often but it's useful for me cause I can keep in touch with friends and find out what former students are doing.
One thing I've noticed with Facebook is that it's helping me discover new trends, if someone has something interesting to tell us, they can spread the news easily on Facebook.
Here's an example. I love avocado. I eat one every evening at dinner. I used to take out the seed and toss it in the trash. However, did you know that avocado seeds are healthy, possibly as healthy as the fruit of the avocado?
Now, I cut up the avocado seeds and sprinkle them on my salad.
Thanks to Facebook I can spread the good news about avocados faster than I can spread my avocado on a piece of toast!
I didn't know that we can eat avocado seeds. I have one story about avocado. When I was elementary school student, my mother was cooking with avocado. She took out the seed, but she didn't throw it away. She put it in a glass with full of water!...I don't remember if it grew or not...
ReplyDeletePerhaps your mother was thinking of planting the seed. I'm not sure if avocados would bear fruit in Tokyo. You should try, and I'll eat them!
DeleteI like avocado too, but I don’t eat every day. Maybe I eat it everyday, I'll have had enough of avocado. However I like tomato, and I eat it every summer days. I think avocado is to you what tomato is to me!

DeleteWell, I'm a tomato guy too. So, you can enjoy tomatoes... but don't steal my avocados from your supermarket!
I love avocado too but I have never heard that we can eat avocado seeds! My mother makes avocado salad and I often see her taking out the seed and throw it away, so I will tell her this story:)

DeleteI'll give you my address and your mother can send the seeds to my place. Perhaps it's easier for her to give them to you every Thursday evening ;-)
I like avoado, all of my family do. I ate it three times last week! When I was a kindergartener,I grew the seed in a flowerpot. Do you know how tall it grew up? It was taller than me,of cource not now:) Thanks to AVOCADO,I have grown up much taller than then.

DeleteSpelling and formatting!
Can you grow avocados in Tokyo? Tell me where you went to kindergarten and I'll go there late at night and steal some! ;-) I'm glad you're taller now the before. I'll know which is the avocado, and which is Manami.
Maybe I don't like avocado. In fact,I dislike avocado without ever having tasted any. It's a bad habit of mine.I'll try to eat avocado sometime.

ReplyDeleteYou should try some Yui. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I suggest you cut the avocado in half, take out the seed and sprinkle some pepper and shoyu on it. Go for it!
